Genoveva Calavera Ruiz Meets Civil Society Stakeholders & Youth Actors In Tirana: EU Will Continue To Support Civil Society In Albania

On 5 April 2019, Balkans Youth Council participated at the round table discussion “Connecting Youth Within Albania and Across The Region: Perspectives For Enhanced Youth Contribution To The European Integration Process Of The Western Balkans”.

The Round Table Discussion was held at Europe House in Tirana , where Albanian Civil Society Actors and Stakeholders gathered together, to discuss the Western Balkans Accession to EU with the Director for Western Balkans at the Directorate General for European Neighborhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations, Mrs. Genoveva Calavera Ruiz.

The Discussion Points were based on Education, Minorities and mainly how civil society can continue to contribute for the Western Balkans toward Accession to EU.

You are the hope of this country,this region & of the EU. You must continue to look for a better future. Speak up for your rights, cooperate with each other & things will be brighter.”- was the message of Mrs. Calavera for Albanian Civil Society.

The series of the meetings will continue in two weeks at the Europe House in Tirana, in order to follow the scope of the work with Civil Society Stakeholders and Actors, how our ideas and vision can be a contribution toward an European Western Balkans.
